Junior

 "Commentary"

         I started writing this one a few months
before my dog passed away. It was inspired by
him, and now I put it out in memory of him. His
name was Junior. He passed away at 20 human years
of age, March 13, 2010. He was part lab., part
chow, and some unknown small breed. He did have
the purple tongue like the chow,and short black fur.  He was strong,
very fast, and was one of the nicest dogs you
would ever want to meet. He held his youth well.
People thought he was a puppy, or two years old
at best, well into his human teen years. He
tried to stand strong and walk around, right to
the end. Most of his life he was health, but this
last year he started having kidney problems. He
passed away in my arms, from heart failure, on
the way home from the vet. It broke my heart to
see my little buddy go.

          They say that dogs can't go to heaven.
I would like to imagine at the end of this song,
that he is being chased by two angels in heaven.
They chase him until they finally get tired and
give up. They were chasing him, because he was
running like crazy, all over the heavens. He
loved to run like that. That's Junior!
